This are for those who thinks bichirs scales can easily be penetrated by a cichlid's teeth. Lol!

Here is a set of ganoid scales of a 10" speciemen of an endlicheri bichir. It got about almost the same thickness of a CD and have a plastic texture kinda thing. So a 22" bichir would probably even have much thicker scales let alone a 41" bichir.

I was planning on letting it flat so I'll attach it to my wallet but it curled up and got dried. BTW this bichirs was never killed for this purpose. It died from jumping out of it's growing up tank when I was doing water change. The tank was heavily planted and I didn't notice that it jumped out.

Hey king el

I REALLY HOPE A FEW CERTAIN PEOPLE READ THIS AND EAT THEIR HUMBLE PIE

Kudo's on going over the top to show the truth of the matter.

Death roll is exactly that death roll. I would also figure body configuration would have a lot to do with who actually came out on top and would well imagine a bichir eating its way out the gills of any cichlid who tried to bite it's head off.
