Bichirs & Siamese Tigers?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Would these be suitable tankmates? The bichirs would be P. senegalus and P. ornatipinnis in a 75 as youngsters, and then into a 125 as adults.

I am only asking because I saw this listed online as a good stocking plan, and don't know anything about Tiger Dats.

I am mixing them...it is ok

Sounds like a Dat might be an interesting addition. How large do they generally get??
Depending on the species, from 12 to 24 inches maximum size. They are very slow growing though. I think a 75 gallon would be fine as a growout tank, but you'd probably want to upgrade to a 180 gallon later on.

I think datnoids are more entertaining and interesting than bichers, but then again, i need more rarer species of bichers to spark my interest again i guess

depends on size
and when you put them together
and what you plan on feeding
and how often.
and good luck. :)
