bichirs w/ strong current

ok, as of now i don't have any idea how to make it more shall i say, "hospitable" for them.
 
two pumps producing 475G/ph on both ends of the tank, one w/ nossle pointing upwards while the other one's nossle from the other end points towards it.

That gph is just fine with bichirs. I have. 1200 gph and when it comes out of the outtake it's about 850 gph. I place it a bit up of the water to create air bubbles to break the surface.
 
my pump doesn't create those bubbles from the nossles? i don't know why

It won't create bubble if you submerge the outtake. Place it above water level.

Note: may cause excessive noise and water spraying if you do it wrong. :D
