Bichirs with cichlids/what types?

yea they just hav 2 be at the right size and give them alot of hiding places just incase

don't put a large RTC in there. you know what i mean.

The old saying goes a good tankmate for an RTC is an RTC.

take an Ornate ... due to his rapid growing it won't take long time he will love the ambience - food everywhere
Smaller species like senegals will work (with the exception of aggressive breeding behaviour of your cichlids - ALL polypterids don't like stress!!!), bigger species will love their tankmates to death. For my experience cichlids were eaten much more consequently than any other living fish in a bichir tank.

But it is your choice ...

Thanks but the cichlids I have get anywhere from 12 inches to 2 feet.
