I know this might sound silly, but I have a quick question.

I have a 40 gallon breeder with a 4" Senegal Bichir and a 2" Pleco and that's about it. My step dad is moving and needs a place to put his 2-3" Rosy Barbs for the time being, which he has about 20 of but I might at most be taking 10.

Should I expect any trouble with them?

ur bichir is pretty small still...i still would be on the cautious side......

i would be more worried about an ammonia spike from the large impact on the bio load. think about that......:WHOA:

...That's true I didn't think about that. Crap, I might as well put together my 10 gallon if I'm going to take them in.

They're OK for now... but in the long run, I'm sure your bichirs will eat the rosybarbs... As for the amonia, just keep your water clean... do your water change often...

Sorry to ressurect this thread, but rosy barbs grow to about 6 inches, right? An adult senegal bichir can eat a 6-inch rosy barb?
