Just make sure that they can get their food before the other fish eat it. I have to feed me other fish first then put something too big for the others to eat so mine can eat.

If you loved dinosaurs as a kid, which a lot of young boys such as myself did, then the Bichir is the fish for you. They are very ancient looking, and very unique. I love watching my Bichirs when you put food in, as soon as anything, even something you wouldn't think smelled, such as an earthworm, their heads perk up and they begin their search. Bichirs are personally my favorite home aquaria fish.

Similar to what I said. I agree. Its cool to see them notice food on opposite side of tank.

bichirs are awesome i actually own 2. the ornate one and the senegal, they are both awesome and like to play with each other lol

I love their cute little faces and the way they flutter their pretty fins when they swim. Oh yeah and when they snag a minnow swimming in front of them by grabbing it by the middle...well that's pretty badass too!
