Big Armatus in 240 8x2x2 advice

Today he seems upset and swimming up and down the glass. Usually he is excited to see me step up to the tank since its usually feeding time but today he was not and did not eat his shrimp. Anything i can do for him?
I was thinking to just cover the whole tank for a few days.
