Its a 225g I bought him from a guy that had him on a 150g. I agree he does need a bigger home but I think he is much happier here for a bit.

This coming from someone who actually keeps a too large of an arowana in a 55g
I bought a couple of those veggie clips and use them to hang the shrimp from the aquarium lid. Then I turn off the tank light and hide. He is getting interested and eating here and there. I also took my gars out and placed one in the koi pond the other is dead.
best is give him a variety of foods ie pellets, shrimp, smelt, tilapia and live insects as a treat. I would stay away from feeders as too risky with parasites. Also large Aros don't need to eat everyday so you can feed every 2-3 days. Anyhow at least it's eating now but honestly that tank is small for a 28" Arowana but it's alot better then some others who have large aros in smaller tanks here. GL with him.
I had bough big arowana before they don't eat too I change the water 10-15% every anther day Anh add some salt until it eat in one weak my arowana is eating Anh try super meal worm
If the Arowana has just been moved it may take 5-6 weeks before it starts eating but the tank must be long enough & wide enough for it to turn around easily. When I first got my large Arowana he would only eat when the lights went out at night
Can arowana go that long without food? I recently got a 18inch blue based gold. After 2 weeks in the tank, he finally accept cricket. Now he is been starving for another week because he won't accept superworm. I guess i will wait longer befor going back to cricket
