My new Dovii male has some anger problems. He's only 3.5" maybe 4" but takes on my 20" Pleco who dwarfs him. He tries to pull the pleco away from the cave that he now calls home. It's hilarious, a tiny Dovii beating on a giant. The Pleco is fine though he doesn't really mind but once and a while he will chase the Dovii around. This is my first Dovii and let me tell you VERY impressed with aggression. My ballistic Midas may have a competitor but thats a long shot... I don't think any fish will come close to his (midas) aggression.

Here's the Terror:

im thinking of getting one as well but if i do im going to get one already grown out to 12+ inches. yours has nice color for such small size.

No grow yours out! Especially with other fish this way you can actually keep them in tanks with others and also this way they are used to the fact of having a smaller territory.

Yeah right he's is sick lookin for a youngin. I see all these juvies that look like crap and then look at him and he has soo much detail. There was another Dovii male to choose from and a beaut of a female but decided to go with him but I think I might have to get that Female.

What I am really trying to get is a texas X Dovii because i just got a 7-8" female Tex that will hopefully breed because her tube is out now.

GL with that combo bro.

i dont have any other fish to grow him out with. mine are all adults. ill get a big one and throw his ass in with all my grown fish and wish for the best. if not he go in different tank.

nice dovii!! looks like you got the dominate male out of the batch he will be the big breeder male you see every once in awhile.
