Bad news.

I moved my two endlis to a bigger but similar in water parameters tank. One of them jumped through a quite small open space. What amazes me is that I lower the tank's water level by 4 inches. She must have crawled through the HOB filter. I found her still alive and wet but the trauma she endured from 4' height was too much.

I placed her in shallow water in a hospital tank but she passed away within minutes.

I took a last picture of her, that I share with you. She was already at 8" long.

I'm heartbroken by this loss.

Sorry to hear that buddy,i was surprised by my little del managing to get through a hole with wires etc in and covered with plastic but it still got through somehow, luckily i was there when it happened.

I was so upset I didn't upload her pic.

I am considering my options now. Should I purchase say five wild caught juveniles? should I keep this one solo? I was hoping to breed them. I am almost banging my head against the wall. I keep fish known to jump out of their tanks -like my Tiger Oscars- but this is a first time lethal jump for me.
