Big blue crabs

Keep it civil people.

To answer your question a blue crayfish would be fine in a 10-20g tank. They can be housed with fish but if they are small fish they might before come food and if they are too large the crayfish might become food.

The 2nd link ...I didn't think it was a pointless question...thanks though :)

There are two species that are fairly similar: the "electric/cobalt blue lobster" (Procambarus alleni), and the "blue knight lobster" (Cherax destructor). The Blue knight will get to about 12" in length and will probably need something around 75 gallons, but the Electric/cobalt blue lobster stays around 5-6" and can be kept in a 20 gallon long aquarium.

If it's one of the "blue knight" variety that's 12".....that really is a "big crab." I'd love to see one of those beasts.

But I thought those were really rare/expensive/from Australia.

Reminds me of when we used to sink minnow traps to the bottom of a lake in minnesota with some fish guts in them.

We'd catch hundreds of crayfish. Boil them with spices. And feast!

It's too bad Astacopsis Gouldi is unavailable.....I'd have a couple in a 180 gallon for sure.

Yeah, I can't say that I go to the lfs super frequently, but I go every once in a while. And I've never seen anything except the normal electric blues. I've never seen c. destructor.
