It could be h. deppi, but I don't see the tail spot and the mouth looks different. The bars, colors, and body shape look a lot like h. deppi. Also what about herichthys turquoise? It is really hard to tell in these pics, and I wouldn't rule out hybrid.

No, I definitely think he's hybrid. He does look like the turquoise a lot, but the red in his fins had me thinking something else.

I'm like 60% sure my Texas is a female, and I think they are trying to pair up. She WONT leave him alone.
