Big Bully

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
As a permenent home I'd have to say no. As a temporary home it just depends on their current size. Should be ok if they're not that large. Also I'd say that heavily planting the tank would help curve a lot of the aggression. They could find a nice little area to chill out in if they had plants or some other type of decor to hang out in.

I've kept 6 species of Bichirs over the years (currently have 4) and the only one I found to be bully is the Ornate..just didn't mix with other species

I'm in the same boat. My LFS told me that for a permanant home (for all four of my bichirs) I would would need tp buy a 125G tank.

I have 3 Sens and 1 Delhz. I know that I won't need it for awhile

(3 sens are only 5 inches yet, and the delhz going on 2 inches)

but will probably buy it in late summer or early fall of this year anyhow.

'Cuz the more room you, have the less bullying you (usually but not always) tend to see and have.

my three ornates are about 1 to 1.5 ft long, do you think the 5 x 2 x 2 would be a good size for there perminant home?
