Big cat for a 75

Whats the biggest coolest catfish I can keep in a 75 gallon tank? I want a big catfish that will be fairly active so I can see him.

Well, the answer partly depends upon what the cat's tankmates will be, if any.

Well I have a polypterus senegalus thats probly going in there too, but if I find a big cat I like better I have an extra 55 for him that I havent been able to sell.

Hoplos are awesome. And you could keep a group of 'em.

Stuff tankmates go for the gulper big and cool. Im in the mood for one but the missus would kill me if i tear down the planted system again.

The gulpers are awesome but they're like $60 dollars right? I dont really want to spend that much on a single fish. The hoplos are cool, how much do they go for and how long does it take for them to get big?

Gulpers are goin for $100 for 4"ers around here.. $150 for one with any size to it at all and up and up and up!!

Dang, thats a lot for one fish, definitely not getting a gulper any time soon. I like the Hoplosternum littorale, are those cheaper? What other cats would be good in a 75?
