cool little fish if you can find one... And with a Gulper.. the high price isn't the buying it... it's the keeping it fed I have 4 and they will almost eat a pound of shrimp at a sitting

I personaly probaly will never get a gulper because of price. but u said coolest and you have to admitt theyre awsome.

I would say Pimelodus Pictus, or a four line Pim. VERY active and fun to watch.

Yeah I was thinking about getting pictus, they have plenty at petsmart and they're not expensive.

Pictus cafish! very active and get 4" so the senegalus wont eat it. i would get 3-5 of them in a group and it would be very cool.

well maybe 6 but im pretty sure they dont get 8" but i could be wrong. i guess i said 4 because thats how big mine was.until a pacu ate him.

Your right, its like 4 or 5 inches, I dont know what I was thinking of. The senegalus will definitely eat it when he gets bigger. Any other suggestions?

What about some of the african lake synodontis cats? most of those I think would be comfortable in your tank either single or as a trio. They come in a wide variety of colors, personaly I like them better then pictus. and they should be fine with your senegel. Or am I wrong? they can run from 5$-50$ a fish around here generally. I had an adult decorus that was very active and a rather inquisitive/friendly fish when I was growing up in a 55.
