You can probably keep a pair of electric blue jack dempseys.. thats a good idea. But how about a pair of geophagus altifrons or even jurapari. i love geophagus ... i would even think about a pair of severum.

^ i agree EBJD would be deadly with maybe a shoaling fish or Maybe a Few Clown Loach??

My old Jack Dempsey ate a full school of clown loaches in a week.

(they were small tho, and I put them in after he was alone in the tank for a few months)

I like the ebjd idea. I would like a pair of salvini in a 50. May be able to add a school of something like giant danios. Love the sajica pair idea, too, and more could go with them. Depending on dimensions, I think you could do a single grammodes for a long time considering they grow pretty slow.

Green Terror...I have never seen a 12" terror. WOuld be enough room for one in a 50 gallon.

I have. He was 3 years old and as much of a brute as any Midas I've seen. Gorgeous!

well i really fancy a GT i'm just a bit worried that the tank is a bit on the small side , maybe i could get a female they don't get quite as big, i suppose if i get one and it starts getting to large i could always sell it on.
