The dam that he was caught in is very murky (Clay). No reeds or water plants. A few rotting logs & branches on the bottom. Have horses in the paddocks so a lot of manure runs into it during rain periods. Heavy with nutrients, goes green in summer......... I suspect he's a cannibal...there's 100's of feeder size yabs in there to munch on :naughty:

good ole dams. how deep is it, I LOVE swimming in my mates, and betting each other who can swim down the lowest and pick up the mud on the bottom.

I don't swim in this dam. Have fallen in a few times though!
I think it's about 2-3m deep.

He eats a fair bit of just about anything. I feed him 2 ~ 3 times a day.
Corn / Carrot / Peas etc.... Some cray pellets and a little bit of fresh meat. So far his all time fav is earthworms. Totally savages them.
