I would have put the new female in the new tank 1st then given her time to settle in before adding the male
Chances are if you dump a female into the males tank he will stress her even more than need be
I actually thought about that but I had to get him out of the 150 ASAP he is way to big to be in an 18" wide tank as a home. Worst case scenario I still have the 150 running and I can put one of the rays in there short term. That's why I went out and bought my own ray net.
I am hoping since she is a few inches bigger than him it will go smoothly, but I have a few backup plans in place in case it does go badly
