I put a dead frozen 18" pleco in my coworkers truck a couple of months ago.

If his dog didn't end up finding and eating it, I could have snatched it and sent it to you.

I hate to be a spoiler here because it sounds like an interesting tangent of this hobby, but.....you should check the regulations first if anyone will be shipping dead specimens.
I am almost positive that it is against Federal law to do this type of shipping.
Better to research your new project, just like a responsible fish keeper would do before buying a new fish.

I've been doing this for years. If you need any pointers just PM me. Just finishhed cleaning a 3' RTC x TSN skeleton recently. After documentation is complete I will articulate it. Look up the dead fish thread to see some of my stuff. I mainly do catfish. Doing a morphological study on them right now. GL

I know this may sound a bit off the wall but I am looking for dead fish for there skeletons. Well it is 100% legal to ship a dead fish and or animal Per USPS Dmm 601 Mailability 9.4(Dead Wild Animals
The dead bodies, or parts thereof, of any wild animals, wild birds, or eggs are acceptable for mailing only when they are lawfully killed or taken, and their shipment is not prohibited by law of the United States or of the state, territory, district, or foreign country or subdivision thereof in which killed or taken or offered for shipment. Mailing of fresh game is also subject to these standards.

I have also contacted game & fish and as long as the dead/live fish is not on there prohibited list (IE stingrays) it is fine to import in to the state of Arizona. I have done my research way befor putting this post up but thanks for the concern

i have to check on the side of my house but i have a spot were all the dead guys go. and not just fish lol. i think about doing what u wanna do but never have the time. i will PM u if i find anything once the snow clears.
