  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's awesome I never said I didn't like my jags and they are the pest pairs I have ever had and definitely are way aggressive in fact my male is the most likely to bite me as he always trys but they just aren't as active as my umbees who constantly patrol their territory I will however own a dovii someday And know I will love it. But I have never seen a dovii in person living I Idaho all the rare fish I see, I own so going off of what I have read I assume I will still prefer the umbees if only slightly.

^^^ nows the time to find out, Gage @ cichlidconnections has an army of them ;)

Don't get me wrong I would love to get some now but until o get another big take 300+ I feel the responsible this is to get the tank first then the fish after. I am getting a 360 but it's for my umbees then maybe

Very mature. Not at all the common modus operandi within the hobby. Makes for happy fish (and happier fish keepers!). I'd say one would be fine starting a couple in a 180g if you had definite plans (space, means, motivation) to get them in a 300 within a year, 6 months even better.

Agreed, Id say a year would be fine. I have a pair of Costa Rican Golds in a 110 right now. This Spring will be a year, and the male is about 7" female 5".
