Jardini will kill, I have 2 but my big silver calms them down. get some pbass they look nice,

Your trippin yo!! I ordered glasscages.com for two acrylic tankz...cost me less to ship them than to buy them...;). They are pros and shippin isn't really an issue. It would be cheaper to have them ship you a tank and a stand then to have one of the LFS there get you one. Fish Store will rip you off, and Fish World isn't much better. PetCo and PetSmart are pretty nice, but still suck. One thing you COULD try is go to glasscages.com and print off their price list for their acrylic tankz and glass tanks prices. Then go to PetSmart and have them PRICE MATCH it....;). Great times! ORRR you could just talk to Brandon Rodgers...;). Hes there in Lincoln, he is becoming a fish importer, should be starting up here really soon. kewl eh? He'll be able to get you in what you want...;). Top that off with the fact that he BUILDS custom tankz and stands for much cheaper. They are plywood, with only a glass front, but they are PIMP!! Totalyl worth it, and LIGHTER...thus you could get a larger tank..;). Seriously, I would look up Brandon in the phone book, decide if you want a custom tank..like extra wide, not as tall, you decide, he'll build it. :D

How big are your acrylic? the largest that I saw on glasscages.com were 135gal. I might just have to give Brandon a call when I'm ready, plywood you say? Kind of gives me the chills thinking that I would have 300 gallons and approx. 2500lbs of water supported by plywood. :WHOA: How exactly would that work?

He makes 300gal plywood tankz all the time...they are reallly awesome! He does a PIMP job on them. Almost look better than glass...;). Its really not that hard to do. Plywood tankz are quite reliable...especially if you know what you are doing..;)

My tankz I got were 27gal...haha....36" x 12.5" x 13"...not very large. They can make custom acrylic just like the glass tankz though...;).

I think that if you would like to keep all three of your choice of monsters, then i would find a tank that is longer that just 6ft. Maybe a 240 gal. 8x2x2. Then it would be fine.

If the plywood scares you beef them up with 4"x4" posts, I would probably avoid the channel cat because of the growth rate but a silver, black or even african aro and a clown or royal knife would be great, just remember that the wider tanks are best for larger fish. If I had a 6' long space to fill with a tank I would choose something like the 72"x 36"x25" (280g wide) by glasscages and just build the stand myself. The idea about price matching at Petsmart is brilliant.

I keep all 3 together in a 265 with no problems....but I will have to move my channel cat soon. They get huge, and they get there fast. It would take a silver or ck a long time to outgrow that tank because their growth rate slows after 15" or so. I keep 2 big CKs together with several other fish and they arent too agressive. Good luck and keep us updated!
