well i have a flowerhorn and not really a grade A. :(
He would be an F compared to the other flowerhorns ive seen in this site. Two of my friends also have a flowerhorn. Both thier flowerhorns are pretty nice, but they dont seem to have a kok or anything it just looks better.

what can i do to help my flowerhorn grow a kok and show better colours?
ive hear of putting baking powder(arm and hammer) but i dont get how to use it. So what im asking is how do the baking soda idea and is there anyway to transform my FH to atleast a B or even a A. :)

pics would help.

But yea, NO baking soda. I have no idea who told you to use it, but it's a no no.

I'm a noob, but I'm guessing at that age genetics may have something to do with it. I'm guessing, like with any other fish, food quality, water quality, PH and large tank size may help. Sorry I cant help you more, but Im a FH noob.

you can try feeding it hai feng or grand sumo and market shrimp to bring out the color. but in order for it to have a big kok its all genetics

Sorry but I will be brutally honest. Please don't get offended.

This is the king of lowest grade FHs I've seen on this forum for a while. Nothing will make him an A or even B. I'd say don't waste your effort, and find a better one to begin with.
