The only thing that's going to be achieved is having some malnourished fish, with regular lips.

Nope they are both feeding threw the rocks like the would and I put the rocks where I normally Feed them pelleted flakes blood worms (witch seem to work the best) and the go right to the rocks and suck it out

Genotypic traits vs. phenotypic traits...

If you had rocks with crevices and holes and a food source similar to the natural diet I see no reason why you couldn't perpetuate the big lip look. The hard part would be finding suitable rocks and food...

I have the rocks all set up so they can feed threw them I put the rocks where I normally put the food in and they both just suck it right out and my mom said I could get some snails and craw fish for them

That's not going to change anything with regards to the size of their lips. Keep an eye on waste biuld up within the rock pile or your nitates & DOC's may get out of hand over time. Good luck.

Thanks but I don't see this happening now the 2 have paired off on the opposite side of the tank
