Big longnose gar

Thanks it is the largest one i have caught yet but my eyes are set on a 60 pounder i have seen.

How did you weight that fish? While it is a nice big one and a pretty darn good catch I'm not very convinced that would be 35 pounds. Maybe 10 to 15 but there is no way that fish is 35 pounds.

I have seen way way bigger ones that where no where near 20 pounds. Tenn State record was a 37Lb fish and was much much bigger than that at 65 inches. One of the largest Longnosed documented

Check out http://www.longnosegar.com/ Bob has some huge Longnosed on there and few are above 20 pounds

I've never heard of a 60 LB one
