Wow he peeled late. Im glad you posted that it was interesting to see how he went from gray to such a unique orange. Glad he kept some black.

That black is wht i still seek and you both got. Just's red and black and uour wild piebald are unique.

Though Just' s new one is a firts class creamsicle bull. I just fear that they will have to be separated because of the girl.

With several males it is quite normal that the pecking order changes. It is not allways the same that is dominant, and there are several that never are dominant. But the more powerfull ones change the hierarchy once in a while.

With a female in the mix, it is plain havoc. I would take the female out, Just. Both your males are too good to risk, seriously.

You know its funny when i had my girl she hated both my males that i picked for her and they would blame each other and still fight for her and while they were bickering someone else stole the girl.....

nice midas man good stuff, another bull lol... already thought i'd rather remove the female miguel, great minds think alike!!

This is the Male I'm working with now.

Not a Brute, yet. ;) So far, I'm lucky and he's staying yellow. It's not seeming to peel orange.

They dont peel to orange. They only peel from gray/barred to yellow, orange, creamsicle (like yours) and any other combination.

And you might wanna double check yours through venting if you already havent caus you might have a girl on your hands.

Very nice Amphilophus! Midasman, it too bad you sold him off. Coloring like that is hard to get I think, and he also has nice thick body.
I myself am waiting for my few Xilos to "peel" off. right now I would say they are 3-5" and are completely gray.
