Big Movie Roles That Actors Turned Down

Wesley Snipes would have been a good fit for the Django character but if asked,he probably would have wanted to kill the slave owners with some of his fancy martial arts moves rather than gun them down.

Smith my be the last great black movie star (no idea who he's passing the torch to next) but God he's made some bonehead career decisions

smith has always been decent. but what he just can't seem to get away from is that little "hood" attitude of his. he always seems to not be able to get away from letting that show when playing a role. that's why I like Jamie fox better. how he is in real life, he can completely play a role and leave that out. I think it takes more talent to do that. did I make sense?

He left it out in the movies where he actually acts well ... Six Degrees of Seperation, The Persuit of Happyness, and Seven Pounds. He even showed flashes of in it in Fresh Prince, like the episode where his father came back and left again.

The problem is, it's the cheap pop movies he's in that sells tickets, so that's what he keeps getting cast as.

I agree with above. He's got some really good movies that some people probably didn't watch because they assumed it was the same ol big Willie style.

Ali should be included in that list. Possibly even I am legend.

Quentin specifically had him in mind for this role in django. Blown opportunity

I debated adding Ali, but the man he was playing already had so much swagger ... I can see most people assuming that being the same as his usual fare.

probably accurate in my case. I've never seen the movies d pike mentioned

but he shows the fresh prince side of him in I am legend though

btw, the episodes where fresh prince's dad comes and goes were good

You should find seven pounds on Netflix and tell me if it don't change your life. If you can handle that, then pursuit for happiness is good too
