caught out of lake ontario (off a local pier) with a rattlin rapala.

released after a quick pic.

I was a happy fisherman that day.

Beautiful fish & kudos for releasing it!! What weight was it, I'd guess 5 or 6 pounds?

I was thinking it might be pushing 8 but its hard to say. one thing you don't see in the pic is the girth. it was one thick trout.

went out to the same pier this evening and caught (and released as always) a big sheephead aka freshwater drum.

put up a great fight.
