big pleco feeding

i'm sure Davo will chime in.. but he told me to feed veggies and algae disks to all of the plecos and to make sure there is some kind of wood in each of the tanks that have plecos.

a few times a week i put in green peas, algae disks and/or whatever kind of vegetable i cook for us for dinner..

wood isn't essential for this species, I just have it with all my tanks as I find even the "wood eaters" grind their way through it. Cucumber isn't particularly nutritional... check the dietry sticky, there's a lot of food ideas. I'd feed at that size a 75:25 veggie: protein (no/little crude protein) diet...

amelanistic = white, but not actually albino, they have red eyes. If it has normal black eyes it's called amelanistic

I would suggest you just sink some fresh veges in the tank overnight. Cucumber, zuchini, mushroom, lettuce, sweet potato, green beans etc. Experiment and find what ones it likes best.

You cant really overfeed, just leave it overnight and take out whats left in the morning. If the other fish eat some, no worries, it wont hurt them.
