Big Pleco for pond.

I dont know about about pleco's

Am Interested in getting a few pleco's which is able to grow big.

I saw a few sail fin in my local LFS. Will that work well in my pond? Whats their max size?

sailfin will get around 20" in a tropical pond

Albino gibbacipe ( sail fin ) you can see it better in your pond or a rhino pleco like the one up top on warborg avatar.

Thanks for all your replies guys! Can i get some advise on the sail fin growth rate? how long will it take to get to 24" with a good supply of food?

Sailfins are fast growers... under the right conditions...I'd say 2-3 years to reach their full size

baby sail fin to juvie will clean their *** off, but when adult they dnt eat alge like small one. big one like more solid food. veggies, wafers,pellets,ect sail fin stay smaller then common pleco. agree 2-3 years to max out if power feed

you have it backwards. A Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps (sailfin) will grow larger than a Pterygoplichthys pardalis (common). Although these days the sailfin is considered a "common" pleco.
