I lost power for 23 days during the last hurricane 2 years ago. Fortunately there was running water, so I did 2 or 3 large water changes a day to keep water clean and oxygenated. Didn't lose a single fish

I plan to buy a generator to atleast power few fish filters -refrig and one room with ac and tv .
I keep on putting it off but your post reminded me to get going on it.
had a power outage for two days on the big island, or at least where i live. I had to get a straw and blow bubbles in my tank. I eventually bought four live bait pumps for fishing and attached them to the back of my old 75 gallon until the power came back on. Me and my family had to heat water on the stove to take a hot bath and could only play cards for over a day. It sucked!
Lol I had to blow bubbles in my saltwater tank when I lived in NY as electricity went out for 2 days . I have most of my fish here in ponds outside . I have a generator now
I imagine Hawaii you can easily keep fish outside . I heard you have African cichlids yellow labs in some streams?
