So my red jewels bred 2 or so weeks ago and i have approximately 25 fry from that spawn and today they shockingly spawned again!!!:WHOA: I thought pairs dont breed til the fry are gone? What should i do now? Will the parents eat the last spawn to protect the eggs? The last spawn is about 1/2 cm long

I'd be leaving all the fry with the parents at this rate. You'll get the best of the best, and plenty of them.

wudnt the fry of the of the first batch feast on the newer batch?

Let's hope so. If you only get three or four survivors out of each batch, you've still got too many fish. Jewels are like a polished convict. Once they start, you've got armies. Unless you are trying to get feeders out of the deal or want to sell them, just let the quickest and smartest survive. IMHO.

What size tank and other stock are we working with here?

i was gonna try to sell em or trade them in to my lfs or just use em as feeders for my pbass....well i got a couple of 10 gallons and they're in their own 5.5 gallon

You're breeding adult jewel cichlids in a 5.5g?
naw they were in a 20 gallon and then they bred a little too quickly before i was ready so i had to move the eggs into a 5.5 gallon with the pair. I was gonna take the pair out when the eggs were ready but they already bred again. Anyways i dont want too big of a tank for the fry or else it would be too hard for them to find food
