So i came home last night and as a surprise my mother and wife had bought me a striped eel and a 2" black ghost knife. Now i already have a 7" BGK that pretty much kept to itself but does not like the new BGK in its log. Now I set up a cav for the baby BGK on the other side but what I'm worried about is the bottom fin on it is feathered not one solid fin. has anyone seen this before? What is the likely hood m BGKs can coexist also cause I would like to keep both of them but am a little nervous. any suggestions?

I have never tried, but everything I have read says that they will not get along and their electric fields coming into contact with each other will cause issues and they will fight to the death....that being said, doesn't mean it is completely unpossible. You might get lucky....?? GL!

45gal they seem to be alright as far as fighting they had a little squable at first but once terretories were established they leave each other be but im more concerned about the baby having a feathered fin ive never seen that before

no my wife said she picked it out for the lps because it had a feathery fin obviously i was unaware of the purchase otherwise it wouldnt have been done but i think im just going to take it back and get something else i just dont think it stands a chance in its condition

my PH is 6.6 so i didnt think to salt anymore and ive never used melafix

its natural and pretty cheap compared to some meds. i use that first before trying anything big. get it at LFS
