Blue Moon Galaxy are (IME) most definitely not a Channa to start with.
As Brucki said they need REAL Sub-Tropical water (at the colder end) and they really do need this.

They can be very aggressive, and are not that easy to breed.

Unless you have a decent water cooler system and can keep the water very low, I would avoid these.
Can be pricey especially for trial and error!

Okay probably give those a miss then as i dont have a water cooler system, i want to get a group of channa to form a pair what ones would you suggest, colourful and around the 20 - 40cm mark in size

Channa stewartii cf barca info on these ones?? pictures?? max size??

I may have wrote that wrong.
A cooler is only needed if you can't keep it cool other ways.
Many manage it without, depends on where you live, your house etc.

Here in Japan I needed one. Was awesome as it could run on 3 different tanks keeping water at a cool 15c stable.

The tank will be in a conservatory so in the summer the temp might get slightly to high,

do you have any pictures of stewarti cf barca??

Got stewarti cf barca in the end boight 4 of them :) the tank temp is at 19degrees mostly sometimes drops a few in the night this is ok??
