Fish is not supposed to be pet like cat and dog. Fish produce slime to protect their skin from parasitic infection and petting them can remove the protective slime coat. The fish in the YT is old and sluggish and may die soon.

It's slime coat will come back.fish rub against course rocks and things in tanks and nature that can take their slime coat off but it doesn't hurt em.
