Big RTC update .......

Thanks guys........ He is right at 30". I should have weighed him when I moved him as he's heavy as hell. Yup, this is the guy I got a few days ago from a friends lfs. The thing that amazes me is how wide he is. I had other RTC's of this length but none were this wide :D I wonder if its a male/female thing ???? Hopefully my other RTC and TSN will end up with this guy in a larger setup. I cant imagine this guy getting that much bigger. The mouth on this thing is HUGE and I wont put my other guys in until they are at least 26" or so.

Looks like a very healthy happy cat. In reference to your saying you can't imagine him getting much bigger. I would expect it to get roughly twice as big as it is. Just a baby now:)
 
Great job. Your setup should work great, but just watch for a spike in ammonia like it's cycling, but should go quick. This is how I setup all my new tanks/ ponds.
