have you tried this combo before? I havent, but I can see an afrowana (particularly the last one I had) putting the ray in jeopardy right away- even if it wasnt intended to be an aggressive thing, the afros big mouth and the rays back are sure to meet each other- something to think about- or, hopefully, Im totally wrong- but thats never happened before...

I have tried it, wasn't really a problem. My African Aro accidently bite my ray once since it missed the food.

Just keep it well fed xander. Mine was fine with me but since it left it's been terrorising the uk! Sinking pellets are great to keep the weight good.

Very sorry that the big green i get FOC attack every single big tankmates in my monster com .The tail of my african aro & dorsal fin of afr aro , my silver arowana my & some of my channas all was badly damaged by that nasty green asian aro overnight, he is now i a isolation tank all alone will sent him to a farm soon for breeding as farmers here has shown great interest in this mature green aro.Hope this notorious green behave himself when he is in a breeding pond.
I m glad that the african aro has settle down in your home & doing well with the gars.Feed him with the koi hikari sinking pellet i gave you in the container he loves it.
