A PRANKSTER dressed in a military-style "Ghillie suit" and pretending to be Bigfoot was killed after being hit by two cars.
Cops said Ryan Lee Tenley, 44, had been posing as the mysterious beast by a busy road to fool people into calling in sightings.
But unfortunately his camouflage suit worked so well that two drivers failed to see him and ran him over.
Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jim Schneider said: “He was trying to make people think he was Sasquatch so people would call in a Sasquatch sighting.”
He added: “You can’t make it up. I haven’t seen or heard of anything like this before.
"Obviously, his suit made it difficult for people to see him."
Tenley was hit first by a car driven by a 15-year-old girl then a short while later he was struck by a 17-year-old girl while lying in the highway.
Mr Schneider said: "Alcohol may have been a factor."
Tenley was pronounced dead at the scene near Kalispell, Montana.
A ghillie suit is a military-style camouflage outfit designed to represent heavy foliage.
