Bigfoot

Really? I remember when I was a kid and after seeing them square off on tv I wanted the Steve Austin and Bigfoot action figures!

No, honestly, I don't remember. I recall the action figure of Steve Austin. My mate had one, I loved it, I always used to play with it when I was round at his house. But we were quite poor so I never had any of the fancy toys which were current at the time.

....and that's exactly why I never got my figures and had to settle for watching them on our black and white television!

Ditto. We had a black and white tele. Little story for you.

"The Wizard of Oz" was one of my all time favourite films as a kid, still is, only the other night I watched it with my youngest lad. It starts off in sepia tone (browny tint), and it isn't until Dorothy gets to the munchkin land, and opens the door of her fallen house, that we see the glorious colour. And then, of course, the rest of the film is in colour, until her dream ends and it reverts back to sepia tone.

Well it was years and years before I found this out. I always thought the film was in sepia tone because that's how I'd always watched it, and also because it was old (1939). When I started my first job at 16 the first two things I bought, after saving up for months, was a music system and a portable colour TV. I watched The Wizard of Oz one Christmas on my new tele and you can imagine how utterly gobsmacked I was, and delighted at the same time when Dorothy opened that door.

I was thrilled watching one of my favourite films of all time in glorious colour for the first time.

Lol, I've got a tear in my eye now!
