Bigges Hoplias on Tape?

Hello,

i wonder how big the biggest Hoplias ever caught on tape is, or if anyone actually got any proof (pictures or videos) of true giant sized Hoplias. So far we can guess, that aimara is the biggest, but with all those suspecies or newer species like lacerdae, we will probably never know fpr shure.

So far this is the biggest i found on video myself online:

starts at 0:40. I don't know how big it actually is, but if we keep in mind how big RTC and Arapaima are, i guess this one might be around 35-40"

I'm from Guyana and the biggest one I've seen live was about 2 1/2 feet when I was there last year, but would still agree with kno4te that the one that Jeremy Wade caught on River Monsters was the hugest I've seen period...

If that one in the video is the one I think it is the guy caught it himself, he knows what it weighs.....

Just gotta figure out how to ask him. For some reason I was thinking this fish was 30-40kg. Could be wrong......
