Biggest Altum on MFK?

Pics? As far as I know, they don't usually get too much bigger than the one at the Newport Aquarium (the one I posted). I'd say it was probably about 10" from the tip of its dorsal fin to the tip of its anal fin).

Yeah i took a guess, I am a terrible estimater. But it was remarkable, like it said, it shocked me when i first saw it

These are beautiful. Mine are still puppies. Maybe 6"-7" tall.

I agree with villascityofangelfish, the OP's angels are scalare. Fantastic scalare but not altums.

Yeah that's probably the most memorable fish there for me, and it has been there for a really long time too, I think they've had it for at least like 4 years.

Those altums have been at Newport for a long time. I went to Cincinnati to visit a friend five or six years ago and they had giant altums then. They didn't have discus at the time, just a tank with about 6 - 10 giant altums.

Yeah, they've changed that tank a lot in the last few years. I think that's the only altum left in that tank, and they have also added a large school of hatchets, a red tailed black shark, neons, etc
