I think so, they are picture's i got from www.anglingthialand.com got load's of big red tail, arapima,knife ,shovel nose and all sort's of cat pic's .i'd love to visit that place.

^that is a giant siamese carp.
The angling Thailand web site is a tour. The arapaima are in a big old clay pit in the middle of Bangkok. There are also giant Siamese carp, Mekong cat fish, you name it. In the morning it looks like boiling soup there are that many fish.
I go with my mates. Only take one rod between three though or you spend you entire day fighting monsters. Gets boring after a bit.
The arapaima is pretty easy to catch as well as long as it’s not sprat season.
It's not real fishing, just play fishing.
