How long have you had it and how big is the tank?? I only had mine for around 2 years, so given a larger tank, a bit more meat in his diet (I fed pellets 98% of the time, apart from that it occasionally got bloodworms, no beefheart, shrimp etc), and a few years longer I am sure mine would have been well over 2'.
