Biggest Cichlid I could Keep in a 5 Ft Tank

I know is not American but a polleni/bleekeri could work, I've found them to be quite soft and ignorant of other fish. Very Oscar like personality and stay a bit smaller, obviously gorgeous with it.

I love these guys and agree they are stunning and full of personality. Maybe mine is an extreme case but at 4" he is pretty aggressive and has no intention of playing community tank in a 125 with any other cichlids or even the catfish I tried. He seems indifferent to the silver dollars so maybe he is only triggered by dark colored fish.
