so i have cichlids right now in the 55, and im getting a lil bored of them... everytime i look, they all have poop hanging down. and theres some that constantly fight, and some that just hide. i just want something a lil bigger and cooler, ya know?

so i was either thinking on getting whatevers the biggest i can get for a 55, or maybe a couple of medium fish, or something bigger than small fish to keep in there, OR keeping the cichlids till after summer when i move and making it a saltwater tank... but if i did that, money wouldnt be so great.

so im wanting to know my options for freshwater. not salt or brackish. straight freshwater. what are some cool fish i should look at?

if you want something big and cool, some of the better options are a single specimen, usually a cichlid (unforunately for you I suppose), especially if you want something that isn't boring

I wld dp a community wit cordoy's and some barbs mayb u cld do a senegal birchir?

I keep a mating pair of g. severums with a spotted rafael and a snowball pleco.
I think there is a sm geophagus in there as well to help clean up after them.

I know that oscars are pretty big, only one would fit though.

Oscars get to big for a 55G, I would go with Angel fish myself.

A lone green terror would be fine. How about 5 mascara barbs with a fancy plec? Google them and see how cool the adults look. Very active barb and will spawn in a 55.

i wouldnt add anything that grows over 8" try maybe a red belly paranah or hujeta gar or anything that deosnt grow over 8".
