Biggest Great White Shark

I just got back from the newport aquarium in newport, ky and they have a full size painting of it on a wall there...it is HUGE...but like greenterra said the length is questionable...they said it was 23 feet long

That one on the sling (second row) is a Tiger shark. You can tell by the snout and iconic tooth shape. One upside down on top row is a large Mako.

Yeah, dorsal is to crescent shaped for a shark. Still not a silhouette i want to see when surfing... even though dolphins are friendly, that shape can easily be mistaken.
 
When I went on x-mas vacation this past year we rented a place in cocoa beach. Me and my sister spent an entire day in the water (eyes sharp for the portuguese man-o-wars that were all beached) anyway we had a grand ol time...so the next morning my parents went for an early morning stroll on the beach and ended up talking to a lady who was shark fishing...anyway this lady said if you had been in the water the day before you were more than likely no more than 20ft away from a shark at any given time. I can't remember what kind she said...but I had to pick my jaw up off the floor.
Not too much of an incredible story but it's my only close call I have had haha
