i wish i hadnt purchased a pacu or an oscar, the oscar is now dead and the pacu will be going to the cat soon if noone buys him.
biggest regret not buying, when i was first starting out again, i had had fish for 7.5 years then lost them all and had to start new, i thought of buying the rarest fish i could find and just do a tank for it. i found a fu manchu lionfish, but didnt buy it because it was saltwater.
or how about the dwarf grouper, marakley cichlid, lake victoria cichlids, or the many others i didnt buy because i didnt think i could handle them at the time.

yes weedy seadragons are now endangered. I went on to breed my alligator pipes. But I avoided the weedy because I didn't think I could handle them. this was about 12 yrs ago now. now I'de pass them up even if I could keep them, don't have the time I did back then to keep them happy.
Once had a chance to buy a $150 8" RTG arowana but past on it b/c I was not keeping arows at that time...only cichlids.

Mine would be a 6-8" Synodontis frontosa that is $100. I didn't have the cash at the time, so I went with 2 LSN's instead. It's still there now, but my tank is already overstocked as it is, so I can't get it.

no one can top mine... a 50g tank for only $20 with 2 huge free oscars which must be given to the buyer. should have brought the tank and donated the fishs to lfs...
