Whats the biggest size difference you have had luck with within a group of cichla?......what spiecies where they?
Cichla should all be around the same size of one another. IMO it's a recipe for disaster otherwise. Cichla will kill 99% of most smaller bass that are introduced into the tank. The only way adding a new bass works is if they are bigger but then that fish usually becomes the aggressor. If you plan on adding another bass to the group don't go any larger than an inch or so and don't add any fish smaller.Whats the biggest size difference you have had luck with within a group of cichla?......what spiecies where they?

I didnt say anything about adding smaller bass.....if you add diff bass at the same size they will have diff growth rates reguardless.... i was asking who is having success with a gap in size.
Even then people have had luck intoducing smaller bass.... you may have a better chance if they are around the same size but adding a smaller size bass isnt exactly asking for disaster. Always best to add in groups anyways and add when doing a water change and rearranging the tank to restablish territory.
You may want to be more specific then. Seems like you already know all the answers. Good luck pal
