wow people are scared... 1 gal = 8.345404 so a 55gal tank would be around 500lbs .. give or take ..
i live on the 3rd floor my apt has .. a 120 gal tank a 150 gal tank 2 75 gal tanks a 55 gal tank a 20 gal tank and a 10 gal tank ..
i am also approved to have the 300 gal tank put in as long as its across the floor supports and in the corner of the apt .. so that the walls and floor have a even weight distribution ..
now im not saying that 300 gal is going to work everywhere .. but a 60 gal tank should work just about anywhere you put it .. unless you can see from the 2nd floor to the 1st via holes in the floor ... but even then .. it should be 100% ok ..
