Biggest Vittatus ATF on MFK ?

not only do they get big, but they need big tanks. Say you have a 6" oscar and a 6" vitattus, you could get away with a 40 gallon tank with the oscar or smaller, but with the vitattus you will need atleast a 75-150 gallon for the smae size fish because of their skittishness and speed they can accomplish in a short time.

well...not sure if anyone knows their max size in captivity.
much like many of the other characins,they are new to the hobby.
i would say,expect at least 2 feet from a vittatus and forskalii with good care,large tanks etc.
and at least 3 feet from a GATF.
brevis and tanzaniae im not sure.

true.
but IMO,you can keep ATF in small tanks without them bashing themselves..
 
Holy. These are friggin awesome fish. I would already have if i have a big enough tank. I only have a 30 gal! LOL
 
Would it be possible to house any type of ATF in a 150g for life?

Obviously not the goliath or other ones.
