I do have them together but that doesn't mean it can work with everyone. But I think with that size of a tank it's possibly but their will be fighting for the first 2 weeks till one submits and the there will be peace later.

Would this setup be ok in a 750g?

1x endli
1x ansorgii
1x marble motoro
1x bgk
1x ngt
1x black aro
3x flagtails
5x frontosa
2x cichla azul
1x l14 plec
1x tigrinus
maybe 1x sa lung

I thought bgks grew to 20"? i know they grow slowly but I was hoping to purchase it while the other fish were a couple inches smaller to give it a head start. Maybe a ck would be better, but they grow so big and are very aggro at night. Also, they are vindictive. A ck that has been harassed by a sa cichlid at day time will devour the unlucky cichlid at night. Maybe an aba aba would be better. My lfs has a large 24" aba aba for only 70$. Its a steal, but aba abas are known killers. I wouldn't want to risk my $ tigrinus or motoro without knowing it was a safe purchase. Thanks.

If you're worried about a CK, you should be even more worried about an aba-aba. A BGK won't be able to keep up with the fish you named. I'm far from an african cichlid expert, but don't frontosa's require hard alkaline water while all the other fish you named require soft acidic to neutral water?

All should be fine as long as size doesn't have much difference.

As for the CK they are not really that aggressive they have about the same temperment as the aros. I have 22" CK and I is being keep together with 9" albino senegal bichir. Aba aba is a lot more aggressive and in my experience with my aba aba it leave my other fish alone, but when it comes to cichlids it shows them no mercy doesn't matter what size.

OK sl what if i take out knife fish all together...How bout a armatus? I love those fish but im worried about them being beat uo by the ngt dat or cichlas. On thread has a 4" temensis kill a 9" tat. Any other advice. Thanks.

A large 18"+ armatus would be nice as they are able to defend itself.
